WestJet took the travel trade in Western Canada behind-the-scenes last week to show off its brand, new 787 Dreamliner.
The carrier’s agency partners were also able to chat with WestJet’s top executives, including Ed Sims, president and chief executive officer; Arved von zur Muehlen, chief commercial officer; Jeff Martin, chief operating officer; Louis Saint-Cyr, vice president guest experience and in-flight operations and Richard Bartrem, vice president of marketing communications.
Along with those conversations, WestJet’s valued agency and corporate partners were able to walk through the Dreamliner to view and experience the airline’s new Business, Premium and Economy cabins — complete with a visual of the amenities, meal options, onboard entertainment and the social area.
The Dreamliner crew were also available to greet the WestJet’s partners and answer any questions, while they showcased the many onboard benefits of the Dreamliner.
WestJet’s director, agency sales, Jane Clementino commented: “We are thrilled to reveal our new 787 Dreamliner today with our Western-based travel agency owners and managers. It was a great opportunity to share an exclusive early viewing of the three new cabin offerings, including WestJet’s new lie-flat Business cabin and onboard amenities.”
Clementino continued: “This is a vital step in our vision of becoming a global airline and in expanding our service to more destinations with direct European routes. It is a very exciting time and we look forward to showing the world the new WestJet.”
