Who really likes to pack? I certainly don’t. No matter how much (or little) planning I ut into the packing process, I usually take far too many clothes, I always forget something crucial and I seldom leave room for tempting purchases on my travels.
I do make a list, but you already know that I am a neat freak requiring order and lists for everything. Every time I start a packing list, I often wonder why I did not keep prior versions for reference. That is way beyond even my organized logical mind! So, I went on the hunt for an app to see if there was something to ease the process. Of course, I found one and put it to the test on my last trip to Delray Beach. Although it did not help in my decision to take my own golf clubs (always wishing I had), it really provided me with everything I needed to pack smart…and even leave room for some of those must-haves along the way.
Making a checklist of everything you need to pack can be useful, but what if one’s already made for you?
Right from the “get go”, it asks some basic questions to kickstart the list creation. Genre? Destination? Dates? Length of stay? Business or leisure? Activities? With the upgraded version, you can add Custom Activities. It even checks the weather forecast.
From there, PackPoint generates a list for each activity. You simply check off the items you want to take, ignore the ones you don’t and add the ones that don’t show up. It offers lists for ESSENTIALS, TOILETRIES, etc. Once you are done, it automatically sends you your packing list.
