Oboz – These Boots are Made for Hiking

January 28, 2020 - by Melody Wren

I must admit that it was the colour that caught my attention first “Glacier Blue.” I wasn’t going to be hiking on glaciers on this trip, but I would be in the midst of many icebergs. Waterproof was the main feature I required and according to the clerk at MEC, there is a little tag as pictured on the side of the boot that certifies them waterproof. I first wore them jumping into a zodiac off an expedition ship in Greenland, hoping they would be comfortable and oh, they were. They felt immediately like my boots because I didn’t even realize I was wearing them as I hiked many miles that first day of wear. I loved how they hugged my ankles – not too tight and not too loose, while giving the ideal amount of support. Going from a regular trail shoe on previous trips to this colourful boot has been an easy transition with no breaking in required.

Text While you Trek with Unigear Waterproof Gloves

October 30, 2019 - by Melody Wren

Any pair of gloves that has this poem on the tag attached wins my heart immediately – even before I try them on. The detailed fit with soft leather palms suitable for texting and the elasticized wrist with wrist zipper for optimal fit all lived up to the hype the poem.Explore

Putting Creativity & Safety into Your PIX Backpack

September 17, 2019 - by Elizabeth Kerr

Do you wear your heart on your sleeve when you travel? So why not put it on your backpack, too? Travellers used to wear flags on their rucksacks, sometimes also sporting sewn-on patches collected from around the world. Now everyone totes smartphones and looks the same.Explore

Unique Passport Cover Showcases your Waypoints

March 19, 2019 - by Elizabeth Kerr

I just love flipping through my passport to remind me of all the adventures I’ve had…so far. I’ve often thought of mounting a map on the wall and finding the perfect pushpins to mark my travels. Blue for been there done that; Green for not yet must go.Explore
